Ashford, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
This curved stairlift installation in ashford is a Handicare 2000. It is a well established and versatile stairlift system with the tightest track bends available in the industry. As with many of our stairlift installations, Occupational Therapists are critical to the decision-making process. Recovering in hospital after major surgery that made climbing any stairs impossible, the client was not in favour of converting a downstairs reception room into a bedroom. So the OT recommended a stairlift and we installed a neat Handicare straight stairlift.
Avoca, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
Curved stairlifts can come in a single or twin rail. The twin rail system provides a safe and smooth ride. It is available in two colors as standard, light grey or gunmetal, but can actually be supplied in any color to match your décor.
Avoca, County Wicklow – Straight Stairlift
This is the Handicare Slide straight stairlift. This unique solution removes the need for a hinge, instead the track moves up the staircase at the same time as the seat is moving, leaving the doorway at the base of your stairs unobstructed. In some houses, the staircase ends at a door opening or right at the front door, so having a retracting stairlift track is ideal.
Baltinglass, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
This curved stairlift installation in Balthinglass shows how elegant the Handicare stairlift is. The stairlift delivers an extraordinarily smooth ride as each custom curved stairlift is handcrafted to fit every angle of your staircase.
Baltinglass, County Wicklow – Straight Stairlift
The width of the staircase is a critical consideration when selecting a stairlift. This is especially so when there are other users of the stairs in the home. Here in Baltinglass, we recommended the Handicare 1000. The 1000 stairlift runs on a slimline track which hugs the edge of the staircase. The track is fixed to the stairs and, as you can see, it leaves plenty of room on the staircase for other users.

Bray, County Wicklow – Straight Stairlift
Moving with you as you travel up the staircase, the Handicare slide track is of a length that is slightly shorter than that of your home’s staircase. The slide track is designed to facilitate a safe and comfortable dismount at both the top and bottom of the stairs, reaching the top of your home’s stairs on the way up before the stairlift itself, and, on the way down, travelling along with you.
Delgany, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
The client’s key concern was the difficulty they were experiencing in getting up and down the stairs to use the bathroom. There was no bathroom downstairs. The design of the curved stairlift finished opposite the bathroom door, giving the home owner the freedom to access the bathroom without fear of falling whenever they needed.
Delgany, County Wicklow – Straight Stairlift
From the outside, a regular three-bed semi-detached home but inside, the stairs was very steep. The client’s main concern was would the stairlift help them overcome the steepness. It did and also worth noting, is that the stairlift seat swivelled so that the client was presented facing the landing and they were able to mount and dismount the stairlift with ease.
Enniskerry, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
Like all of our top quality Handicare 2000 curved stairlifts, this stairlift comes with the option of either going around the external or the internal bends of the staircase. In this instance, the client was advised to go with the external option as it afforded smple space for the other users of the staircase in the home.
Greystones, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
The Handicare Freecurve stairlift has been specifically and innovatively designed to follow and skilfully navigate even the most complex bends in a staircase there were three turns in this installation and as you can see from the images, this Handicare stair lift is compact, and folds away neatly in order to free up the stairs for anyone to else to use.
Rathdrum, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
The layout of this house is common across Ireland – the stairs ends close by the front door. Leaving the stairlift parked at the foot of the stairs was not an option as it would cause an obstruction. All Handicare stairlifts come with two remote controls (one for upstairs and one for downstairs), so the client was able to send the stairlift back up the stairs so that the hallway was clear, and simply call the stairlift when required.
Wicklow, County Wicklow – Curved Stairlift
Many homes have staircases that go around at least one bend or corner and these are referred to as curved staircases – as you can see in the images.
In this stairlift installation, the client had recently redecorated the house and that included a new carpet, so naturally they were concerned about installing a stairlift. Using the Handicare 3D PhotoSurvey system, our engineer was able to show the client a 3D drawing of how their stairlift would look – the curved stairlift rail would be made to fit the precise requirement of their staircase.
